Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have that “faith that moves mountains?” It seems that they get everything that they hope for in life or that everything in their life always goes right. Believe it or not, there is nothing “special” about their faith. God says through the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man THE measure of faith. As a believer in Christ, God has given everyone the same measure of faith! He does not give one believer more faith than he does another believer.
Faith Comes by Hearing
Not only does God give us the same amount of faith, Jesus gave us HIS very own faith according to Hebrews 12:2. According to this scripture, He is the one who helps us to make our faith perfect (complete). What a great gift God has given to us! With all this said, we do have a part to play in developing this faith gift from God. There are several things we must do in order to grow in our faith. One of the main ways that we develop our faith is through reading the Word of God. For faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17) God’s Word is the “seed” that grows faith. Once we begin to continually read and meditate on the word of God, it will give you the basis for growing your faith so you too can have the “faith to move mountains”.
